Every bite you take…

Happy Motivation Monday!

motivation monday the lyons share

A very quick reminder for you today, because one quote says it all:

every bite you take is fighting disease or feeding it

The antioxidants and phytonutrients in vegetables are some of the most powerful disease-fighting tools we can rely on.  Numerous studies show that those whose diets include more vegetables and fruits have lower incidence of cancer, obesity, diabetes, and more.  I’m not saying that eating vegetables will definitely prevent cancer or that we only need food and not allopathic medicine; I’m just saying that it’s worth it to give yourself every fighting chance you possibly can.  Food – real food, whole food – is such powerful medicine!

So tell me in the comments … What will YOU eat today to fight disease?
