**Make sure to get to the bottom of the post for my very first video and an important reminder!**

motivation monday

On Motivation Monday today, here’s to healthy! Β One of things that I love most about health, fitness, and nutrition is that it is a constant battle for self-improvement. Β You are never “there” … even the healthiest person in the world could do one small thing to improve their health slightly. Β What’s more, your body keeps changing to keep you constantlyΒ challenged! Β there is no finish line - blog 3.31.14(picture source)

The great news about this journey is … mistakes are OK! Β We all make them, and slipping up every once in a while does not mean we are failing at our healthy living journeys. Β But when you do your best, and take conscious steps to improve your health, you usually feel amazing – both mentally and physically – and are inspired to do even more. Β My favorite part of the below Greatist quote is “But when I do choose better, healthy feels awesome. Β It impacts everything.” here's to healthy - blog 3.31.14(picture source)

So what are YOU going to do today to make yourself feel awesome? Β Make the decision now, and get it done!

I’ve sort of been doing something like this on my own and the biggest thing I’ve been doing is drinking water and no alcohol in the evenings. I’m better hydrated, I sleep better, my energy is more consistent during the day. Water is wonderful!

Good for you, Ashley. You’re right – water makes such, such, such a big difference! And while I do love my wine and totally believe in enjoying it, it is amazing how good you feel without alcohol as well, even if it’s just a glass here or there! Glad it’s working for you!

It is Autumn here but it is still time for a reset nonetheless. I am hoping to get my arm cast off on Thursday so have been planning on getting back into my fitness more once I have it off πŸ™‚

Yes! I hope you join in to the Reset, Jan … you can provide the Aussie perspective to our Spring. And it’s always a good time for a Reset! GOOD LUCK getting your cast off – remember to take it slow so you don’t get re-injured!

This is great!! I love when bloggers decide to do vlogs. No one ever sounds the way I expect them to! As far as your reset goes, this sounds like a great program! Since I’m in the thick of preparing for my move, I’m just trying to maintain and eat as best I can while not losing my mind. I can’t wait to do my own reset once I’m settled again.

I think it’s funny that I didn’t sound how you expected. Did you expect a heavy Texas accent? Totally understand that the timing is not right for you for the Reset … you have enough going on with your move! If this one goes well, I may be doing another one in the Fall, so you can join in then!

Go girl! Launching a new program just in time for spring — love it! And your video was seriously awesome… Doing a vlog has been on my to-do list forever now, but I really need to buckle down and finally get it done…

Happy Monday to ya, lovely lady!

Thanks so much for the support, Amanda! Like I said in comments above, just do it! Waiting for perfection means waiting forever (at least in my case) … plus, I have NO idea what you sound like, and I’d love to hear you!

Hey Jordan, I hope you end up posting a video! For me, if I had waited until it was perfect or I knew how to really edit or anything like that, it would have been forever, so I say just bite the bullet and get it done! I hope you join us in the Spring Reset!

I was glad I got to watch the video before heading to work this morning. It was excellent both technically and in terms of content. πŸ™‚

I am definitely doing a spring reset in more than a couple of ways … I have discussed loads of times how that is already going with food, and this weekend (after Friday was 0F … )was another reminder of how much the temperature can be light a light switch for my running motivation at this point (between logging the miles and LOVING the miles), and overall I feel I have let too much negative energy creep into my life in 2014.

So my spring reset includes a continued focus on food and balance of life and maximizing the positive energy around me.

Thanks so much for the great post and look forward to more videos!

Oh – and love the newsletter as well!

Coming from you, the technical compliment is huge, even if you’re being overly nice (but hey, it’s working! I feel great as a result of your comments … it reminds me of a previous comment where I said I like effusive praise unless it’s crazy over the top and you said sometimes it feels disingenuous). Anyway, I honestly think realizing that you need a “negativity Reset” is a HUGE first step. I can’t wait to see the impact it has on you. Pulling for you to make a turn to the positive side, because I am 100% certain that you have a hugely positive impact on so many others, including your family and blog readers!

Thanks as always πŸ™‚ I think the recent stuff with my blog shows where I was at in terms of re-balancing. I feel so much better with things in a better sense of balance.

And while I try to be nice, I will never say what I don’t mean. I know people who will go out of their way to say something we all know is untrue … and I never know why.

So I was specific about the technical aspects – it is a struggle at first to get lighting, sound, noise, and so on all in proper perspective, so seeing you come right out with a very solid video was excellent …

So awesome Megan!! Loved your video πŸ™‚ I too need a reset and to refocus on the healthy whole foods. I have been doing much better lately but I know i could always use a little tweaking to feel better! Looking forward to this!

Hey Sara – thanks for the feedback on the video! Congrats on doing better lately – proud of you! You’re right, we could always use a little tweaking. For me, a 2-week period helps me refocus, gives me accountability to get back to the basics of healthy eating, and sets me up on the right track for after the Reset, too. I hope you join in!
